Scout Island Ventures is a closely held investment fund located in Austin, Texas with strong portfolio emphasis in early stage equity.  Typical investment markets include, but are not limited to, technology, healthcare, SaaS/PaaS, education and consumer goods.

Scout Island  was formed in 2011 and is comprised of expertise in angel investing since the late 1990s.   The fund typically co-invests with others in equity rounds;  however, we will consider other investment structures including debt offerings.

In addition to early stage activity, Scout Island also considers portfolio management for pre-existing equity and real estate investments within the Central Texas Area.    As a closely held private investment fund, we do not accept outside finance and have discretion over how we deploy capital.  There are select early stage capital funds in Central Texas, with whom Scout Island Ventures often works to accelerate finance rounds.

Scout Island board members have held prior roles at Motorola Research, Intel Research, Texas Instruments, pre-acquisition venture stage video game companies, international law firms, private equity funds and academic roles within US universities.
